How is Evelyn Wood Affiliated with Speed Reading & Memory Training?

For over 50 years, the Evelyn Wood Speed Reading & Memory Training program has been used by U.S. presidents, the business elite, college students and others.

An educator and businessperson, Evelyn Nielsen Wood (January 8, 1909 – August 26, 1995) popularized speed reading, or dynamic reading. Her program claimed to increase a reader’s speed by three to ten times, all while maintaining comprehension.

Evelyn Wood published her book titled Reading Skills in 1959. Along with her husband, she soon started the Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics business which thrived in the 1960s and 70s.
